Gaiam Essentials Stability Pro Balance Ball Kit

I bought this for my son as a recommended by his PT for his flat feet, Sever’s and Plantar Fasciitis he developed in his right foot. He is very active in all he does and so to keep him off his feet some his PT suggested the balance ball. He can still be active but limit the time on his feet excessively jumping and bouncing. Highly recommend!

Ball works, seems to be holding the air just fine but the pump broke after first use. Had to piece it back together and then it broke a second time. Thankfully I managed to pump up the ball but the pump quality is disappointing. Will likely have to get an alternative solution if I ever decide I want to pump it up more in the future.

Pump is terrible - the adhesive does not hold so you have to hold it together while trying to inflate the ball. I expected better, especially because every other balance ball I’ve purchased over the last 20 years has not has this issue.

I rarely write reviews and I like Gaiam, but this one was a total disappointment!The hand pump is nearly useless and the air-locking system crap.As you try and pump up the ring & ball, air leaks out of the pump if you stop or are too slow. And while it somewhat worked in the end, when you go to stopper the air, there's no mechanism on/ over the hole to prevent the air from escaping (like a good air mattress)....You have to push a plastic pin into the hole.Hope you are faster than we were. It took 2-3 tries and two of us to do it fast enough.And, what I thought were supposed to be straps to hold onto for exercises, are wimpy paper-like strap thing, no handles, nothing really usable. Again, sadly useless.Additionally, the ball doesn't really fit in the ring if you get the smaller size. I am 5'2" and thought the smaller size recommended would be good. Truthfully, it's much smaller than I'd expected. I can use it for exercises, but could never have as a desk chair if that was my purpose.In short, while I am keeping it with hopes it'll work for me...I wouldn't buy this again if I'd seen it blown up.

The first one I ordered the stability ring deflated, disappointed in the quality, hoping it's just a fluke but I liked it enough I gave the yoga ball to my daughter, roses the ring, reordered the whole set and so far so good. Maybe I got a defective one because the plug worked it's way into the stability ring meaning the whole around the plug stretched out otherwise seems solid and unlike cheaper brands everything seems to fit and work properly

Great ball, smaller then I thought but I am not good at dimensions. Use it at work.

The balance ball itself seems to be doing ok after one day. The base ring for the balance ball burst when using the first time. My granddaughter (10 years old) stepped on the ring and it burst. Looked like the "thickness" of the tube walls were thinner where the "blow-out" occurred. I really do not think the base was over inflated.

I've bought two of these in different colors. If you want to use one to sit at a desk, I suggest getting a cover as it will help hold the ball shape better and allow you to sit higher.

This is a solid product with clear instructions. It works great as a replacement for my office chair- it is very comfortable and just the right size. There is also a guide included for suggested exercises that I found helpful. I am very happy with this purchase, especially after buying a similar product from another manufacturer that did not meet my expectations.
